Nikhil Joshi, MD brings his expertise in interventional cardiology, peripheral intervention, and cardiovascular disease to the Texoma community. Dr. Joshi believes in prevention and comprehensive cardiovascular treatment. He provides expert diagnosis and management of chronic conditions while also providing advanced intervention to treat acute cardiovascular conditions. He welcomes new patients at his office in Sherman, Texas.

Dr. Joshi is fellowship trained and board-certified in both general and interventional cardiology. After earning his doctorate in medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan, he moved to Texas. His extensive experience first began at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in Internal Medicine. Then he completed two fellowships, first at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and then at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas. He has trained in one of the top clinical programs in the state and has mentored several physicians in advanced peripheral intervention.

At North Texas Comprehensive Cardiology, Dr. Joshi is honored to provide care for a vast range of cardiovascular conditions. His specialties and interests include preventative cardiology, peripheral arterial disease and limb salvage, coronary intervention, and states-of-the-art device therapy. He also manages conditions such as such as hypertension, high cholesterol, chronic angina, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation. As a sought-after cardiologist, Dr. Joshi primarily practices at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center Sherman and Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Sherman. He has served as the Chief of Cardiology and the Director of the Cath lab at WNJ Regional Medical Center since 2011. He is also affiliated with several institutions including: Medical City Medical Center – McKinney, Heart Hospital Baylor Plano, Allen Surgical Center, and Texoma Medical Center. Dr. Joshi has frequently earned public recognition for his outstanding contributions to the health of the Texas community. In addition to being featured on CBS News, Dr. Joshi has been awarded D Magazine’s Best Doctors in Dallas and been recognized in Best of Texoma.
